Yesterday 76 crews, made up of 10 women each, set out from Moloka`i to paddle 41 miles across the Ka`iwi channel to finish on O`ahu. However, a huge NW surf swell arrived over night on saturday and made it nearly impossible for the paddlers to get their canoes out from Hale o lono harbor. These brave women, who trained for months, were determined to go… and they did. Check out the photo album which we posted a link to our www.Facebook.com/HawaiianPaddleSports page.
And remember if you want to go for a much more relaxing paddle to snorkel with sea turtles or to whale watch on Maui… we’ve got you covered.
