Maui whale watching season

It depends on the change of seasons, water temp and storms up in Alaska, but as soon as the water gets too cold the Humpback Whales make their annual visit to Maui. Maui Whale Watching Season starts December 20. Prime whale season is February and March. The last whale can stay in Maui until April before making the trek back to Alaska.

We had the special treat on October 3rd 2012 of being visited by a rare, endangered, Hawaiian Monk Seal. Its estimated that there are fewer than 1,200 left in the world with only about 150 in the Main Hawaiian Islands. The remaining live in the minor outlying “Northwest Hawaiian Islands”.
