Caring for our Maui Community

The mission of Hawaiian Paddle Sports is rooted in kuleana, or responsibility. Mālama means to care for.

We believe it’s our responsibility to care for the land, the ocean, and our island community.

Our Community Give Back Program

Since 2010, we have organized a monthly “Mālama Maui” give back program. Each month, we donate to a local nonprofit or community organization and employees volunteer for service projects – ranging from restoring native habitats to taking underprivileged youth out in the ocean.

We also organize beach cleanups and events for locals and visitors to participate in, such as International Coastal Cleanup Day, Paddle For Hunger, and Paddle For KeikiIn 2019, Hawaiian Paddle Sports employees logged 477 volunteer hours and raised $57,557 to support local organizations.
